Draw Slit to the Pattern
Draw the line for slit at the side seam as shown. I made 1.5 inches slit. You can adjust the length based on your preference. Then repeat the steps with the back pants.

Sewing the Slit
1. Sew the front and back pockets as shown in the tutorial (refer to the Zinnia Pants Sewing Instructions file). Sew the crotch together.

2. Finish the side seam raw edge with serger separately. Then align the front and back side seam right side together and sew. Stop sewing just before the slit as shown.

3. Press the seam open.

4. Fold the seam at the slit 1/2 inch to the wrong side and press.

7. Align both front and back inseam right side together. Sew and finish the seam with serger.

8. Fold the leg opening 1/2 inch and 1 inch to the wrong side. Press and sew the hem.

9. Repeat the step with the other side.

10. Sew the waistband and done!
